Tom “TC” Crawford Jr, 56, of Bellefonte, passed away on July 6, 2023.
Born in Lock Haven on February 4,1967, he was the son of Renee (Butler) Brown and the late Tom Crawford Sr. He graduated from Bellefonte Area High School in 1985.
Tom was one of the most talented guitarists you ever witnessed if you had the chance. He played with many bands locally, including Blackout, Smokin’ Toast, X-it, Fourth Kind, Blackseed, and Whitefish where he wrote some amazing songs. When Tom picked up his Kramer guitar his talent was evident, and you felt the love of music that he had. He and his family had an amazingly strong bond. They supported him and enjoyed watching him perform through the years.
Tom spent a lot of time with his friends sitting around a campfire picking his guitar. The world will keep spinning without him here, but it will never forget the sound of music that came from that guitar.
Tom’s humor was uncanny, and he came up with the best one-liners. He had a soft spot for cats, especially his beloved two -- Boogie and Bang. He was an avid Penn State football, Seattle Seahawks, and Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins fan.
In addition to his mother, Renee, he is survived by his sister Tasha (Brown) Rockey and her husband Monty; two nephews Tripp and Cade Rockey whom he adored, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Along with his father, Tom was preceded in death by his stepfather Russell Brown and his grandparents.
Tom’s celebration of life will be held this Saturday, July 15 at 1 pm at the Logan Fire Company, Bellefonte, PA. Come and share this time with family and friends. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to an animal shelter of your choice or the Logan Fire Company if you wish.
