Grant W Boone

Grant W. Boone, 95, of Marsh Creek passed away peacefully at Eagle Valley Personal Care on Monday, March 27, 2023. He was born in Curtin township, Centre County on August 25, 1927, a son of the late Alonzo R. and Elenor M. (Heichel) Boone. He was married to Marilyn Rose Richner who preceded him in death in 2016.

Grant was a man of many talents, he was a farmer, mechanic, welder and a truck driver. He was an avid hunter and fisherman! But above all he was a devoted father and loved making lasting memories with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

He was a member of Three Point Camp.

Grant proudly served his country in the United States Army. 

He is survived by 4 children: Darlene K Brown (Dennis), Mitchel Boone (Lorraine), Rickey Boone (Christine), Timothy Boone (Susan); 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one sister Relda Williams. 

Along with his wife, Grant was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Marjorie, Paul, Lois and Bob.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Grant’s name may be made to Romola Christian Cemetery. 

A memorial service for Grant will be announced at the convenience of the family.
