Evelyn Haines

Evelyn M. Haines, 97, of Beech Creek, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

Born in Hublersburg, she was the daughter of the late Maxwell and Julia (Markle) Miller.

Evelyn loved making quilts and crocheting afghans. She also enjoyed bird watching but she was most fond of Cardinals. Above all Evelyn was a homemaker taking care of her family and raising her children. Always creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever. 

Evelyn is survived by her 2 sons, Jay Haines (Shelly) and Lynn Haines; one daughter, Kathy Bitner (Dennis); one sister, Miriam Nihart; 5 grandchildren, Robin, Jay, Gina, Janelle and Charity; as well as numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold D. Haines, a grandson Troy and 5 siblings.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Hays-Fearon Cemetery in Beech Creek.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Singer Kader Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
