Carol L Furner

Carol Louise Furner, 82, of Bellefonte passed away peacefully in her home with her loving husband Melvin E. Furner Jr. by her side on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Born on April 7, 1941, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Owens Sr and Elanor (Yohey) Owens.

Carol found joy being outdoors, hiking, biking and camping. She was an exceptional cook, good at sewing and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a good woman and a great wife that will be dearly missed by many. 

Carol not only took great care of her family, but for over 12 years she helped take care of the residents at Foxdale Village. 

In addition to her loving husband Melvin, she is survived by her three sons, Joseph Stania, James Stania, and John Stania; one daughter, Susan Greene; and two brothers, Lanny Owens and Joseph Owens Jr. 

Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by one son Rick Stania. 

Family and friends will be received for a time of gathering from noon-1 PM on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Singer Kader Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Howard. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 PM and interment will take place at Schenck’s Cemetery.
